Hakaraia Tewhena (Whena) is a Co-Founder and Principal at Pou Architecture. Raised in Ōtaki on the Kapiti Coast, he has been building locally and in Wellington for the last 15 years.
His building knowledge, particularly in residential construction, lends itself to the work of Pou Architecture.
Whena’s experience and knowledge of the building industry complements his architectural works, with his philosophy built on practicality that works in harmony with designs that are aesthetically pleasing and beautiful.
As a fast establishing Practice, Whena looks forward to evolving Pou Architecture into a design movement that will satisfy all of our design values and more.
